Abstract

A quasi experimental study to assess the effectiveness of computer assisted instruction on knowledge and practice regarding dengue fever among the mothers of school going children at selected villages, Thanjavur district. OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY: To assess the knowledge & practice regarding dengue fever before computer assisted instruction among the mothers of school going children. To evaluate the effectiveness of computer assisted instruction on knowledge & practice regarding dengue fever among the mothers of school going children. To correlate the knowledge & practice regarding dengue fever among the mothers of school going children. To associate the pre test level of knowledge & practice regarding dengue fever among the mothers of school going children with the selected demographic variables. ASSUMPTIONS: The mothers of school going children may not have adequate knowledge & may not take adequate measures to prevent &manage dengue fever. The CAI on dengue fever may improve the knowledge & practice of the mothers of school going children.
