Abstract

BACKGROUND: Primary dysmenorrhoea is one of the commonly seen diseases nowadays. The present study is to show the use of Concomitant symptoms in the management of primary dysmenorrhoea. In Homoeopathic system of medical treatment is given based on our principle – "Similia Similibus Curentur". Homoeopathic medicine not only annihilates the disease in its whole extent in the shortest, most reliable and most harmless way but also prevent the complications associated with it. METHOD: Random selection of 30 cases of patients with Primary dysmenorrhoea is carried out from OPD, IPD and peripheral centres of Sarada Krishna Homoeopathic Hospital. The cases will be analysed and evaluated. A remedy is prescribed using concomitant symptoms after referring to Materia Medica. Potency and repetition of doses have been done based on the Homoeopathic principles. The assessment had done by per and post symptom severity score. RESULT: The result of the study is obtained that all the 30 cases showed marked improvement and these results were based on a statistical analysis of before and after symptom severity score. CONCLUSION: The result of the study shows that medicine selected using concomitant symptom are effective in the treatment of patients with primary dysmenorrhoea.
