Abstract

To study the prevalence of complications in type 1 diabetesmellitus and clinical feature of type 1 diabetes. Randomly selected 150 patient who were diagnosed before 25 years of age were assessed by detailed history elicitation and clinical examinations laboratory analysis was done for renal function test including albuminuria and for glycemic control and non invasive investigation like Echo cardiogram, ultrasound and roentgenogram. There is increased prevalence of micro vascular complication as the duration of disease increased. There was also different mode of initial presentation, with coexistent findings of hypertension with microvascular complications.
