Abstract
A study to assess the effectiveness of diabetic education on knowledge and knowledge on practice of self-care management of patients with diabetes mellitus at Ashwin Hospital, Coimbatore. Objectives: To assess the knowledge and knowledge on practice of self care management of patients with diabetes mellitus. To deliver diabetic education regarding self care management of patients with diabetes mellitus. To evaluate the effectiveness of diabetic education on knowledge and knowledge on practice regarding self care management of patients with diabetes mellitus. To associate the findings with selected demographic variables with knowledge on self-care management of patients with diabetes mellitus. To associate the findings with selected demographic variables with knowledge on practice on self-care management of patients with diabetes mellitus. Assumptions: The knowledge of the patient influences practice. Self management technique can be administered at any time as early as possible to prevent complications of diabetes mellitus.
