Abstract
A pre experimental study to assess the effectiveness of computer assisted teaching on knowledge and attitude regarding organ donation among non health professional students at selected college in Thirupur district was done by 301412152 as a partial fulfillment of the requirement of the Degree of Master of Science in Nursing at Shiv ParvathiMandradiar Institute of Health Science, under the Tamil Nadu Dr. M. G. R. Medical University, Chennai, April 2016. The Objectives of the study were To assess the pre-test and post-test level of knowledge and attitude regarding organ donation among non health professional students. To assess the effectiveness of computer assisted teaching on knowledge and attitude regarding organ donation among non health professional students. To find out the association between post-test level of knowledge and attitude regarding organ donation and the selected demographic variables among non health professional students. To assess the correlation between knowledge and attitude regarding organ donation. The findings of the study revealed that there was a significant difference in the pretest and the posttest score on the level of knowledge and attitude regarding organ donation and there was a significant association between post test level of knowledge and attitude with their selected demographic variables The implications, limitations, recommendations and conclusion were clearly spelt.
