Abstract

This present study indicates that the drug DHASADEEPAKINI CHOORANAM shows enormous and massive results within four days of the affected individuals and some other restore their condition within a week. The drug subside the main symptoms like fever, loss of appetite and abdominal pain and within a week it subsides diarrhoea, vomiting and other gastrointestinal symptoms. ❖ In invitro studies, the trial drug possesses promising carminative activity which is the agent used to relieve flatulence. In invivo study, evaluation showed that the trial drug had potential antipyretic activity, so the trial drug acts as an antipyretic and carminative in nature. In analytical specifications, the trial drug was no specific pathogens, no pesticide residue and no aflatoxins. ❖ Among the ten ingredients of the trial drug, greater number of the drugs like indhuppu, vaivilangam and chirakam having the action of carminative, stomachic and antipyretic. The action of these drugs has many properties to relieve the signs and symptoms of Maanthasuram. So it can be effective in treating gastrointestinal disorders. ❖ All the forty three patients were treated with the drug dhasadeepakini chooranam from the age of 3 to 12 years. The drug was safe and no adverse reaction was seen during the clinical trial. The drug was purely herbal and most effective for this disease to childrens. ❖ The clinical assessment of the disease were found to be good which was assessed by preclinical studies and clinical evaluation. Hence the observation made during the clinical study explores that the trial drug DHASADEEPAKINI CHOORANAM was clinically effective in the management of MAANTHASURAM in Childrens.
