Abstract

using different solvents ratio, the total flavonoid content was quantified through spectrophotometrically (535 ± 3 mg/kg). Column chromatography techniques was used for compound purification and flavonoids fraction was confirmed using mass spectrometry. Kaempferol-3-O-(p-coumaroyl)- glucoside was confirmed on molecular weight 594 (m/z 593 in negative mode) of compound and structural elucidation was confirmed mass fragmentation pattern. The active compound A. pannosum flower shows responsible for antioxidant activity. Higher flavonoid content plays major role on anti-cancer activities, which were evaluated and compared with commercial antioxidant butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) employing DPPH activity and total ABTS radicals IC50 value results shows 106 and 118 μg/ml respectively. The Anti-cancer activity (breast cancer cell line MDA-MB-231) analysis confirmed through MTT assay, further cell apoptosis confirmation analysis through AE/OB, PI and Hoechst test. Keywords: A. pannosum, ESI-MS, flavonoids, kaempferol-3-O-(p-coumaroyl)-glucoside, anti-cancer activity
