Abstract

In our study it is seen that many public were known about the preventive action of Kabasura Kudineer and have consumed it during pandemic for Covid-19 prevention. During our study we obtained consent for follow up from more than 50% of the population experiencing the side effects very useful in reaching out to them during further study processes. In this Study results from the gender categorization, it is evident that that diversity was closely achieved in gender parameter with no huge difference in male-female responses. In our Study pregnant women have participated and some of them reported to have experienced side Effects, therefore further Follow up can be performed via designing a specific Pregnancy Follow Up Questionnaire. In this Study it was concluded that majority of consumers were the taking the medication during Empty Stomach which is not in line with the Siddha Guidelines provided by Ministry of AYUSH which could have been an attribution for the cause of side effects due to the Incorrect schedule followed in taking the medication which is one of the significant and potential form of medication error. In this Study, we found that the common Frequency of taking the medication was Once Daily which is the ideal way of taking the medication as per Siddha Guidelines given by the ministry of AYUSH and this demonstrates the awareness among people on the same. From the obtained p value of 0.00018. we conclude that the data on percentage of incidence of side effects are highly significant.
