Vibrio cholerae is induced to 5 groups of 40 shrimps. Of this, Group A is left as a control and Group B received Tetracycline (10mgkg-1) and Groups C, D, E received Homoeopathic medicine of Ipecacuanha 12C, 30C and 200C respectively. During the 30days trial, bacterial load has been checked on 10th, 20th and 30th day. Simultaneously, length and weight of the shrimps, CMI and survival rate parameters have been recorded and calculated. Ipecacuanha is found to be effective in controlling the pathogenicity of cholera with respect to all the above mentioned parameters in all the 3 potencies. Among the 3 potencies, Ipecacuanha 30C is found to be most effective. The study is statistically significant with P value < 0.05.
