Abstract

Oral mucositis is the painful inflammation and ulceration of the oral mucosa, usually as an adverse effect of radiation therapy. It is a major health problem that alters the quality of life and nutritional status of the patients with head and neck cancer undergoing radiation therapy. Need for the study: As a complementary alternative therapy for oral mucositis, honey has the anti bacterial property and antioxidant property to improve the anatomical and functional abilities. So the investigator felt that it comes within the scope of nursing and wanted to conduct the study to assess the effectiveness of this intervention. Objectives
