Abstract

Care of mouth is considered to be one of the most basic nursing activities. Especially unconscious patients require frequent and meticulous oral hygiene to prevent oral health problems. Need for the study: Unconscious patients do not experience the same oro dental problems as the general population face. Poor oral hygiene may also impact negatively on the treatment planned for the patient.
