Abstract

OBJECTIVES: To develop a scoring system to predict possibility of successful NDVH and to review the limitations and major complications and conversion rates associated with NDVH. METHODS: Parameters were selected based on Kovacs guidelines to determine the route of hysterectomy and simple scoring system was applied for the patients undergoing NDVH and by this scoring system for feasibility of successful NDVH. RESULTS: From February 2016 to September 2016 in IOG. 100 women undergoing hysterectomy for benign conditions was selected. Scoring system was developed based on risk analysis. Validity of the scoring system was tested on 100 women undergoing hysterectomy. All women was in the safe score < 16. All underwent NDVH successfully without any complications and conversions to abdominal hysterectomy. CONCLUSION: Careful assessment by simple scoring system can help in deciding the feasibility of performing NDVH.
