Of all the respiratory infections, acute sinusitis is one of the most common illness that affect the population frequently and alters the normal function of the body (person) and also affects the normal day to day activities. Homoeopathy treats the person as a whole. Homoeopathic medicine has been used to safely manage acute sinusitis without causing any complications. The aim of this study was to assess the effectiveness of Kali bichromicum in the management of acute sinusitis. METHODS: This study was conducted on, the patients who attended the outpatient department, inpatient department and rural health centers of, Sarada Krishna Homoeopathic Medical College hospital, Kanyakumari District. Thirty cases were selected on the basis of clinical features and by physical examination in between the age group of 20- 50 years, includes both sexes. RESULTS: In this study after treating with Kali bichromicum, among 30 cases, 90% of the cases are well improved. 200th potency was mostly used and it gave good improvement in more than 80% of cases. 67% were females and 33% were males. CONCLUSION: The results of this study were highly satisfying and Kali bichromicum was effective in the treatment of acute sinusitis.
