Abstract

BACKGROUND: Diabetes Mellitus is a heterogeneous chronic metabolic disorder characterized by hyperglycaemia resulting from a defect in insulin action or deficiency of insulin secretion. It is a systemic and multi-faceted condition that affects each cell in the body and also the mind. OBJECTIVES: To evaluate the evolution of Lycopodium and Sulphur in the diabetes mellitus type 2 and determine the common causative factors in relation to Age, sex and occupation through reliable indications and frequency of remedy administration. METHODS: A clinical study on sixty cases with Diabetes mellitus were done at Sarada Krishna Homoeopathic Medical College Hospital and Rural centres. The study cases were selected randomly as per inclusion criteria and improvement criteria were based on the symptomatic relief according to score chart. RESULTS: The result of this study obtained that 52 (86.7%) cases were markedly improved and 8 (13.3%) cases were moderately improved and this results were based on statistical analysis of before and after treatment score. CONCLUSION: From my study, I conclude that Lycopodium is more effective and Potential remedy in the condition of Diabetes mellitus than Sulphur
